SH Netz Cup //
The signal on the water comes from ZÖLLNER
Whether it's the Kiel Week with sailors or the SH Netz Cup with rowers, we're happy to support local events with our distinctive horns.
The SH Netz Cup is a long-distance rowing regatta held annually since 2001 on the Kiel Canal in northern Germany.
The principal race is a 12.7 km international eights marathon, starting in Breiholz and finishing under the iconic Rendsburg railway bridge at the Rendsburger Kreishafen. At 12.7 km, it's vastly longer than typical 2 km regattas, demanding extreme stamina and strategy from elite crews. We are particularly pleased that the international women's double fours will be competing for the first time this year.
This year the 25th SH Netz Cup will take place in Rendsburg from August 8 to 10, 2025. We're happy that our Makrofon will be providing the signal for the athletes here as well.
The results
The German women's rowers crossed the finish line in 42:28.33 minutes, ahead of the Netherlands and Great Britain. They had a commanding lead right from the start.
The German men won for the first time since 2021, finishing with a time of 36:40.89 minutes, ahead of the second German boat, which relegated Great Britain and the Netherlands to third and fourth place. Congratulations to the winner!
