Our automatic track warning system is designed with adaptability in mind, allowing for quick and effortless adjustments to suit any worksite conditions. Train Control with ZÖLLNER COBRA and ZGP
In addition to using a warning system at the worksite to warn workers of approaching rail vehicles, some companies choose to use ZÖLLNER COBRA (“Control of Balises with Remote Assistance”) to control train access to the worksite using Euro-balises. With COBRA the operator of a worksite must actively confirm that all workers have moved to the safe zone in order to allow a train to pass through. He or she does so using a remote control which switches the telegram of the balise. A train is thus unable to move into a worksite unless the “all clear” has been given.
The ZÖLLNER ZGP is a speed measuring unit which accurately detects the speed of a moving rail vehicle. Should the speed exceed the existing limit, the vehicle is forced to emergency brake. Using this system can help make passages with a reduced speed limit or blocked sections much safer or even prevent vehicles from running into or over the buffer stop.
