We are close at hand
Our subsidiary was founded in 2006 in Amilly, 160 km south of Paris. Five highly motivated experts currently make up the ZÖLLNER France team, which is supported on a long-term basis from Kiel. Our customers benefit from the 24/7 hotline service as well as on-site support from our team.
The subsidiary continues to develop, as for some years now our ZÖLLNER France team has also been active beyond the French borders, in Belgium, in Switzerland, in the Netherlands as well as in Luxembourg.

Cassens & Plath has been established in 1902 by Tanne Janssen Cassens, an experienced captain. Starting in Bremen, and since 1972 in Bremerhaven, Cassens & Plath manufactures nautical precision instruments, magnetic compasses and sextants. They are all carefully assembled, adjusted and tested by hand in Germany and are subject to a quality standard that makes our products unique. Since 2015, the company has been part of the ZÖLLNER Group.

In 1812 John Lilley established the company John Lilley and Son in London. The company produced nautical instruments, magnetic compasses, telescopes, wind and weather measuring systems. In 1885 John Wilson Gillie established the company Wilson & Gillie in North Shields, which produced nautical charts for the navy as well as magnetic compasses and nautical instruments. In 1913 the two companies merged and in 1943 they were renamed John Lilley & Gillie Ltd.
John Lilley & Gillie Ltd. with locations in North Shields (Newcastle upon Tyne) and Birmingham, UK, is today one of the leading British manufacturers of nautical precision instruments, magnetic compasses and other electronic navigation instruments.
In 2017, the company became a member of the ZÖLLNER Group.
